My name is Thuy Duong. I have studied in AIS for two years and this school year, I move to grade 8. I was born in Ha Noi, the capital of Viet Nam. My dad gave me my name and it means a peaceful ocean. I love my name. My father is an engineer, he creates things for constructions, ships, wood, too. He is kinda busy so I don't have much time with him because he always on assignments. My mom works in accounting department in my dad's company. She is busy, too. However, she tries to stay at home with us on weekends. I am my parents' first child, next is my sister. She is in grade 2 now and my brother is the youngest, he is 4 years old. My sister and brother are very lovely and cute. I love my family alot. At school, I have quite a lot of friends. We always chat together, we hang out together sometimes. This school year, my goal is to get into the honor list. In the future, I want to be an engineer just like my dad. My dad thinks it is a tough job for a girl but I love to design things, I designed my room, my parents's room and all the door in my house. I am excited when I get older and I can build many more buildings. My favorite things to do are wake up late in the morning, read books, surf the internet, study, shop with my mom and travel. I love to read, even read the ingredients of a bottle of ketchup is still interesting to me. I read novels, newspapers, short stories, magazines, although, I hate poems. I have studied English since I was 7 years old. I love study English, I mean, English helps me a lot in my job in the future, it helps me socialize easily with people that don't come from Viet Nam. I wish one day I would go to the U.S. I heard many things about the U.S. Some say America is beautiful, it snows some places (I have never touched snow or even enjoy the cold in snow before), some say American people is very friendly. Well, that's my story. I hope you learn enough about me.
